About Me

Ever since I was a little girl I knew that I wanted to help people. I didn’t know what that would look like when I was “all grown up” but I’ve certainly found a calling that I love. My Christian mother raised me to care about others and she always found ways to include me in various activities that were humanitarian in nature. She taught me about Jesus and the Bible and to love and respect everyone. Even though I didn’t know it at the time – she was a social worker in her heart and raised me to be one.

I was born and raised in Chicago, IL however I did spend a good portion of my childhood and young adulthood in the beautiful country of Croatia. I returned to the US where I obtained my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI. After obtaining my degrees I traveled quite a bit, obtaining licenses in the States of Colorado, Idaho, Indiana and New Mexico. My husband and I are blessed with our 5 year-old daughter. Since her birth I have decided to be at home as much as possible and have worked on a part-time basis. As a family we enjoy being outdoors – one of my daughter’s favorite first words was ‘outside!’. We’re blessed to live close to Lake Michigan and we enjoy going to the beach and walks at various parks.
